An introduction describing the development of parish church architecture, furnishings and funerary monuments in the district is followed by a detailed gazetteer of over forty. As the sun shone a group met in the idyllic Wytham Woods for a day’s experience of Forest Church. It was a day that would help deepen the experience of participants on every future walk they take in the woods or the countryside. A small dedicated group meet on a Thursday to learn and every 3rd Thursday the tower sees ringers from across the Forest of Dean who come together for a special 10 bell practice.
